The UNI-T UTi120MS Smartphone Thermal Camera Module for iPhone is a compact infrared thermal imaging accessory that transforms a compatible iPhone into a portable thermal inspection tool. Designed for electrical, electronics, mechanical, automotive, HVAC, and general maintenance applications, the UTi120MS allows technicians and engineers to visualize temperature differences that cannot be identified easily with a conventional camera.

The module uses a 120 × 90 pixel infrared detector with a 50° × 38° field of view and a thermal sensitivity of ≤60mK at 25°C. This combination allows the camera to detect relatively small temperature variations across a scene and display them as a thermal image. The device operates across the 8–14μm infrared spectral range and uses a 2.28mm focal-length, focus-free lens, eliminating the need for manual focusing during routine inspections. 

The UTi120MS provides a wide temperature measurement range from -20°C to 400°C (-4°F to 752°F). Its specified accuracy is ±2°C or ±2%, whichever is greater, under the specified measurement conditions. Users can also adjust the emissivity setting from 0.01 to 1.00, which is useful when measuring different surface materials and improves the suitability of the instrument for practical inspection work. 

The thermal camera supports several image presentation modes, including Thermal, Fusion, and Picture-in-Picture (PIP). Fusion combines thermal information with the smartphone's visible-light camera image, while PIP provides an additional way to compare thermal and visible information. Seven color palettes—including White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Ironbow, Lava, Rainbow, and Rainbow HC—are available to help users distinguish temperature patterns according to the inspection being performed. 

For detailed analysis, the UTi120MS provides an on-screen analyzer supporting up to 6 points, 6 lines, 6 rectangles, and 6 circles. It can also track high and low temperature areas and provide configurable high/low temperature alarms. Photo capture and video recording allow inspection results to be documented and shared directly through the connected smartphone. 

With a compact 25g body and smartphone-based operation, the UTi120MS is convenient for technicians who need a lightweight thermal imaging solution without carrying a dedicated handheld thermal camera. The module connects to compatible iPhones through its Lightning interface according to the product datasheet, making it particularly suitable for mobile troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, PCB inspection, electrical diagnostics, and locating abnormal heat sources. 
