Length is great for swapping to a Bowden (remote) extruder where your existing cable may not be long enough, or when moving your control board to the outside of an enclosure.
This has the standard stepper connector with 6 pins 2.54mm wired on the stepper end, and a 4-pin 2.54mm dupont connector on the controller board end.
